Rachel joined the FCUCC staff in August 2020 as the Administrative Assistant. Her position expanded so much that she settled into a new role as the Director of Finance and Technology in 2022.
After growing up and attending college in Indiana, she felt the urge to experience life outside of the Midwest. She and her husband, Josh, picked Colorado Springs randomly, moved here in 2012, (predictably) fell in love with Colorado, and haven’t left! Rachel started her career as an elementary special education teacher and taught for 6 years. After quitting teaching, she spent a couple of years feeling unmoored, both professionally and spiritually, before finding First Congregational Church. This church community has helped her feel grounded once again.
Rachel spends her spare time working even more, running a small photography business. She nearly always has an audiobook or podcast in her ear and enjoys singing, swimming, and hiking. The Rumples expanded their family in 2022, welcoming their first child, Finley.
