The JWW Lectureship Team is excited to announce that our 2024 Lecturer is Rev. Dr. Randy S. Woodley!

Rev. Dr. Woodley is a recognized leader in the fields of Indigenous and Intercultural Studies, Ecology, Spirituality, Race, Theology, and Mission. Randy is a Cherokee descendant recognized by the Keetoowah Band. Randy and his wife Edith, an Eastern Shoshone tribal member, are co-creators and co-sustainers of Eloheh Indigenous Center for Earth Justice and Eloheh Farm & Seeds.

Randy recently retired as Distinguished Professor of Faith and Culture and Director of Intercultural and Indigenous Studies at Portland Seminary. Randy and his wife Edith invite people to a new relationship and understanding of Creation, History, and Earth Justice. The JWW Team also plans to tie these ideas to FCC’s 150th Anniversary.

Rev. Dr. Woodley will be leading the following:

  • Evening Lecture and Q&A (Friday, May 3)
  • Morning Workshop and Book Signing (Saturday, May 4)
  • Sunday Morning Worship and Interview (Sunday, May 5)
