One or two representatives will be present from each agency to chat with you, answer questions and explain what their organizations are doing to help others. The Mission Fair gives our grant recipients the opportunity to spread the good news of their work. Please come and support them with your presence and interest.
The 2016 Grant Application process has now closed.
Grant applications are accepted between January 1st and May 1. All grant requests are considered and awarded between June 1 and Aug 31. Grantees will also be requested to complete an evaluation form and participate in the First Congregational Mission Fair. These filled out forms will be necessary for being considered for further grants consideration. Because of the generosity of this congregation, the church’s Mission Giving & Outreach committee (MG&O) often has additional funds to allocate for the support of outreach projects. We want everyone in the church to know how to make specific proposals.
Type-written requests should clearly and briefly state the following:
• The purpose of the project
• Its relationships to the committee’s mission statement
• The amount of money requested and how it will be spent
• The involvement, if any, of FCC members
• If you have received a grant from FCC in the past, how were the funds spent and what was the impact the grant had for your organization
• Please attach copy of 501 (c)(3) letter from IRS showing your organization is Non-profit

Application forms are available below. Seminarian Scholarships are considered and awarded around September 1st of each year. Requests are accepted between January 1st and June 30th of the year.
Mission Outreach Volunteer Opportunities
We are blessed to have many members of our congregation involved in numerous service and outreach organizations in our community. The Mission Giving and Outreach Committee (MG+O) has explored the needs of many of our local not-for-profits. When offering to volunteer, we feel it is important to work for organizations where the need is significant, where volunteers are wanted and valued, and where one can really make a difference. We would like to recommend one of these organizations in need for your consideration of “getting involved.”
Interfaith Hospitality Network (IHN)
Interfaith Hospitality Network brings the faith community together to help parents with children who are in need of shelter. Our congregations give these families a home-like place to stay with three meals a day within a community of caring volunteers. Our congregations transform their facilities for a week or two at a time in support of these parents and children. During the day, families come to our Day Center to receive case management services, job search resources and an opportunity to work toward independence, affordable housing and stability for the children. Goals are set and parents are compassionately guided to take the steps necessary to become self-sufficient and find a home.

Ecumenical Social Ministries (ESM)
Ecumenical Social Ministries (ESM) was established in 1982 as a nonprofit organization by eight large downtown churches. Considered an outreach extension for the community, ESM responds to the emergency social service needs of low-income, homeless and unemployed individuals and families in Colorado Springs.
