On October 13, 2016, the FCC Church Council spent a significant amount of time discussing and discerning the makeup of the Lead Minister Search Committee. We had many wonderful applicants, so selecting nine members was a challenge. In the end, we settled on the following members of the Congregation:
Jan Johnson, Co-Chair
Jill Robinson, Co-Chair
Council is grateful to all who applied and appreciates the committee members’ willingness to serve in this important capacity. Many of you know one or more of them; by all means share with them your thoughts and dreams concerning our next Settled Lead Minister. Conversely, they’ll provide regular updates on their progress using all our various means of communication.
On Thursday, December 22, 2016 the Search Committee was pleased to announce that the Opportunity List has uploaded to the United Church of Christ website: Opportunity Listing (Click Here).
In the coming weeks and months, the Search Committee will be working through the following:
The Search Committee will meet with Rocky Mountain UCC Conference Minister, Rev. Sue Artt, who will provide guidance and information on the process.
The Search Committee will be blessed/installed for their work during morning worship.
The Search Committee will compile the Church Profile, a 25 page document about our church and ministry.
Once the Church Profile is completed, an advertisement of the position will be listed in UCC Employment Opportunities.
The Search Committee starts receiving candidate profiles through the Rocky Mountain Conference.
Please keep our Search Committee in your prayers as, with God’s grace and guidance, they help shape the future of our beloved First Congregational United Church of Christ.
